‘The juice of life’ - By Markus Giebel

Hormones: 'the juice of life'

Over the past few years, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding hormone therapy. Proponents say it not only makes you look and feel younger, but it can also aid with serious health issues such as diabetes and heart disease.
Opponents point to possible health risks.
Starting at around age 30, our hormone levels begin to decline a small amount each year. You likely won’t feel it at the start, but about 10 years later, once you hit 40, many of you will start to notice that your body is not functioning quite as well as it once did.
Often referred to as the “Juice of Life”, hormones do indeed help to keep us healthy, fit, and mentally alert. Severely imbalanced levels can have a negative impact on our well-being, and for the unfortunate among us, serious health issues may arise, including autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease, obesity, thyroid disorders, cancer, osteoporosis, and many others.

Markus Giebel talks about Cancer risks

Some facts about cancer:

There are more than 100 different types of cancer

All cancers begin in cells, the body's basic unit of life. When cells become old or damaged, they die and are replaced with new cells. However, sometimes this orderly process goes wrong. The genetic material (DNA) of a cell can become damaged or changed, producing mutations that affect normal cell growth and division. When this happens, cells do not die when they should, and new cells form when the body does not need them. The extra cells may form a mass of tissue called a tumor.

Heart Attack Risk

In the US, more than 1.5 million people per year will suffer from heart attack and stroke.

Heart Diseases

Heart disease and stroke can be fatal, but they can also result in serious illness, disability, and decreased quality of life. Suffering a stroke may lead to significant disability, such as paralysis, speech difficulties, and emotional problems. Following a heart attack, individuals frequently suffer fatigue and depression, and they may find it more difficult to engage in physical activities. Heart disease and stroke are among the leading causes of disability and death worldwide.

New Years Resolutions - By Markus Giebel

New Years Resolutions

It is indeed alarming—only 4% of all people making new years resolutions are keeping their promise to themselves.

Why is the number so low?

Most of us are going about the business of creating resolutions entirely the wrong way. We are focusing on broad goals and hopes, rather than creating a roadmap for the sustainable actions. An estimated 45% of our actions are controlled by habits. The habit formation can provide a game-changing insight into how to create resolutions that last. Attached are five points which just may help to keep your resolutions:
